The Breath of Life Breathing Pattern

A Breath-Fueled Mental Focus Machine — Adjustable, Customizable, Built for Comfort & Endurance

🧠 The Pattern

The intentional breath pattern is:

  • INHALE FULLY
  • BRIEF HOLD at the top
  • EXHALE FULLY
  • BRIEF REST at the bottom

Repeat — and do not stop.
When you suddenly realize that you have unwittingly stopped, begin again, immediately, no matter what.
Let no thought, no urge or impulse, no external event interfere.
Breath first, everything else later.
Do this daily until you do it all day, in everything.

🔄 All Life in Order

All areas of life will fall into proper order within the scope of your attending to them.

⚙️ Personalization Over Prescription

The count in and out is to be adjusted for comfort rather than to hold to a specific, pedantic 4 or 8-second (or other) count.

Set breathing pace by:

  • Intent
  • Activity being engaged
  • Comfort

The objective: carry out the discipline all day long in every activity to spend as much time as possible locked into the mental Throne of Command.

⏱ Timing Is Fluid

Different instructors will have different preferred timing counts for ‘in’ and ‘out’ breaths.

The important thing is the added level of visceral, granular control that comes with:

  • The brief hold at the top
  • The calming release of tension at the bottom before intentional, guided inhaling

🎈 What a Proper Breath Looks Like

A proper breath fills the lungs from the bottom up like a balloon,
and releases from the top, relaxing the lungs downward.

🔁 Your Will vs. The Body

🧠 Thoughts cannot breathe for the Body.
It is always either the Body doing the breathing... or your Will.
The Body just breathes when you don't do the breathing.

🚨 The PROBLEM:
The Body ALSO takes over your THOUGHTS, including your identity, your habits, and — please hear me —
THE BODY TAKES OVER YOUR LIFE.

Instead of your life being centered around — and enjoying the results of — your Will,
you are suffering the results of your BODY’s ‘automated’ reactionary patterns.

When you see the phrase, "a Will not your own,"

You MUST wake up.
You MUST take back your Breath.
